Dara Macan joined SourceLink in 2016 as the director of global partnerships and engagement for SourceLink where she is responsible for identifying market opportunities and building relationships with cross sector leadership to build vibrant and inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystems. Since joining SourceLink she has been instrumental in SourceLInk achieving consecutive years of double-digit growth across our affiliate network.
Before joining SourceLink, Dara held various management and leadership positions for a multi-state publishing company where she consulted with community and business leaders, economic development organizations, and others, helping them drive new customer acquisition and create economic impact in their communities. During her time at the publishing company, she led several successful new publication and event launches driving new revenue and expansion.
Dara also has firsthand experience starting, and selling, a family-owned commercial cleaning business. Whether it is out of financial necessity, the desire to build something successful, or simply to make a difference, she appreciates entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart and has a keen understanding of the risks associated with making the entrepreneurial jump. She leverages this understanding every day in her outreach with economic developers and ecosystem builders in how to support their entrepreneurship in their communities.
