Wisconsin is helping entrepreneurs tap a wide range of state resources with a powerful new tool, Start In Wisconsin, a searchable online directory that will allow entrepreneurs in the state to enter their ZIP code along with the type of business assistance they are seeking. An additional benefit of the Start In Wisconsin platform is a shared calendar that allows participating service providers to publicize events designed to help entrepreneurs succeed. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is providing funding and serves as the project sponsor. The University of Wisconsin System Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship serves along with WEDC on the project’s initial planning committee and is responsible for managing the directory’s data. Start In Wisconsin is featured on WEDC’s website and additional statewide and regional websites dedicated to entrepreneur success.
