Biz-Trakker®

Password Reminder

With so many user names and passwords to keep track of these days, it is understandable that one might have a brief lapse of memory. Biz-Trakker now makes it a bit easier to retrieve forgotten login information. Just click the Email My Password option, enter the email address associated with your Biz-Trakker account and we’ll resend the information to you.

Contact Customer Support

Since your need for customer support usually comes while working in Biz-Trakker, we wanted to provide you with easy options for contacting us. Forms for reporting technical issues as well as sharing ideas or suggestions can now be found under Setup/Help and on the dashboard, as shown below.

Dashboard Tweaks

Four enhancements have been made to the Biz-Trakker dashboard:

  1. The Usage Information window provides a count of client records viewed by the user within the past 30 days.
  2. A Back to Dashboard option appears at the bottom of the left-side navigation, making it easier to return to the dashboard after navigating away. Clicking on the logo at the top-left of Biz-Trakker also returns users to the dashboard.
  3. Report an Issue provides a shortcut to a new customer support email form, also now found under Setup/Help.
  4. Send a Suggestion provides a shortcut for submitting ideas for new features to Biz-Trakker. This form is also found under Setup/Help.

Changes to How Did You Hear About Us

What it is:

These two drop-down fields allow users to record how the client learned about your program. Incoming referral sources can be categorized in groups (banks, attorneys, resource partners, etc.) Several Biz-Trakker users recently suggested that we add a look-up option to make it easier to find the right referral source.

What we changed:

  1. We added a Look-up Source button that allows users to more quickly search through their list of referral entities.
  2. To accommodate making room for the new look-up source button, we shortened the name for the referral fields. The name was changed from How did you hear about us to Referral Source.

Obstacles Conquered

Many organizations capture the impact of services provided using a variety of metrics. Some organizations view whether or not clients were able to overcome obstacles typical for small businesses (cash flow issues, marketing, regulatory issues, etc.). A new section, Obstacles Conquered was added to the Obstacles Tab.

Obstacles Conquered has also been added to the Survey Question Library, meaning that you can add it into an email survey, allowing clients to populate the information in their record using email surveys.

Snapshot Reminder on Interactions

After Sheila in Cincinnati meets with clients, she records information on the interaction as well as snapshot information (the number of employees, revenue, amount of any funding obtained, etc.). Since counselors are often rushed, Sheila felt it would make life easier if she could go directly from an Interaction to a new Snapshot. What might be called "Sheila’s express impact button" now makes this possible.

The Resource Navigator®

Like Biz-Trakker, The Resource Navigator now makes it a bit easier to retrieve forgotten login information. Just click the Email My Password option, enter the email address or username associated with your Resource Navigator login and we’ll resend the information to the email address in your admin profile.

Resource Navigator Dashboard

The first new feature you are likely to notice is the new dashboard. The dashboard is meant to provide you with quick, easy access to useful information:

  • Recently viewed profiles
  • Enhancement Releases: get a quick recap of new/past releases
  • Usage Information
    • Number of searches in the past 30 days
    • Enabled ("Active") Profiles
    • Profiles Updated: count of updates by either RN administrators and/or providers
    • Services Without Providers: Any searches done for a service without a provider will return no results found
    • Providers Without Services: These providers will not appear in search results
  • Report an Issue: Links to a new customer support form, now also found under Setup
  • Send a Suggestion: Share your thoughts for new features, also now found under Setup

Resource Partner Account Updates - Social Media Links

More and more providers are using social media to market their programs and communicate with clients. The Resource Navigator now provides the option to share Facebook, Twitter and/or LinkedIn account information in search results.

Calendar Changes

The Calendar is one of the most visited pages on many affiliate websites. Recently several users have shared some great ideas for improvements.

  • We have added two new class/event categories: Technology, suggested by Aaron with ARKSourceLink, and Import/Export, suggested by John with NetWork Kansas.
  • The subject category formerly labeled Finance has been reworded Funding/Accounting
  • Changes to the Submit an Event form page:
    • Wording on the Submit an Event page has been modified to be more descriptive.
    • The Inquiry option seemed to cause confusion and has been removed. Viewers interested in contacting a provider still have the option of emailing the provider directly.

Resource Partner Account Updates - Social Media Links

With the integration of social media accounts into The Resource Navigator search results, Resource Partners can directly update their Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter account information when updating the rest of their profile information.

Searching List of Users

Many affiliates let their Resource Partners log into the site to post classes and to update their contact information. For affiliates with a large number of Resource Partners sorting through them all to retrieve login information can be a challenge. A new search option allows administrators to search administrators as well as Resource Partners. This update was suggested by Diane at ArtistINC.
