IASourceLink leveraged inspiration and serious collaborations to help Iowa entrepreneurs start businesses during Global Entrepreneurship Week this year.
In four cities across the state, IASourceLink Resource Partners collaborated to host a series of simultaneous Startup Weekends. More than 200 participants spend the weekend creating 26 new companies. Read more about Iowa’s GEW Startup Weekends.
The Iowa community also hosted the Iowa Black Business Coalition’s Untraditional Startathon during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event paired existing and aspiring minority and women business owners with mentors for a one-day push to launch new businesses in 24 hours, and was also a component of SBA’s InnovateHER Challenge.
